An updated Caton United FC website has been launched to (hopefully) make it easier for players, families, volunteers, supporters, local businesses and the wider community to see what is happening at the club and find simple ways to be part of it.

Grassroots football clubs do not run on matchdays alone. They rely on people giving their time, turning up to support, helping behind the scenes, encouraging new players, sharing ideas, maintaining facilities and backing the club when support is needed.

Caton United FC is no different.

The relaunched site is designed to make those opportunities clearer and more accessible.

Whether you are a local player looking for a club, a parent wanting to support community sport, someone with a few spare hours to volunteer, a former player wanting to reconnect, or a local resident who would simply like to see the club continue to thrive, the website is a good place to start.

Visitors can learn more about the club, read about its long history, find out how to volunteer, sign up for updates, view current sponsors, explore sponsorship opportunities and follow links to club information, policies and community activity.

The aim is not just to have a better-looking website. It is to create a clearer front door into the club.

The website helps explain what the club is trying to achieve, where help is needed and how people can get involved without needing to know the right person or ask around on matchday.

More players, supporters and volunteers help to create more opportunities.

Volunteers are at the heart of the club!

Like most grassroots clubs, Caton United FC depends on volunteers. Some roles are visible on matchdays. Others happen quietly in the background. Both matter.

More attention to volunteering and explains that support does not always need to be a major commitment. Helping at an event, supporting fundraising, lending a hand with facilities, assisting with administration, promoting the club, joining a working group or simply offering practical skills can all make a difference.

The club is keen to hear from people who may be able to help occasionally, as well as those who want to take on a more regular role. A few more volunteers can make a big difference to what the club can achieve.

The relaunch also supports the club’s Wish List ambitions for 2026.

Caton United FC has a wish list of improvements that would help make the club more resilient, welcoming and fit for the future. These include practical improvements around facilities, equipment, matchday experience and the wider environment for players, families, volunteers and visitors.

That connection is important. A club like Caton United FC is strongest when it is not just supported by the people currently on the pitch, but by the wider community around it.

While the main aim is to bring more people into the club, the website also creates a stronger platform for local sponsors.

Caton United FC already benefits from the support of local businesses, and the new sponsor pages help recognise that support more clearly. Businesses can be featured on the website, linked from the sponsors area and associated with a club that is working hard to support grassroots sport in the community.

For businesses, supporting Caton United FC is a chance to back community sport, reach local families and show support for something positive in the village.

Caton United FC has a proud history and a long-standing place in the local community.

Visit the new site, share it and see how you can help.

  • You do not need to be a player to be part of the club.
  • You do not need to have lots of time to make a difference.
  • And you do not need to wait to be asked.

Caton United FC is building for the future, and the new website is an open invitation for more of the local community to get involved.
